Hi I'm Jim and I would like to tell you a bit about me. First I live in Onalaska Wa. that's about 71 miles from Portland.

 I have raised AKC Labrador Retrievers for over 30 years now and to us there is no better dog. no more loyal dog and no more intelligent dog then a Labrador Retriever.

Why do we raise labs ?  are there not enough dogs in the Dog pound ?

First we raise AKC Labrador Retrievers and the truth is very few AKC dogs that are bought end up in a pound. You will find many mix breeds there because the mix breeding is not often a good mix.

Second we love the Labrador Retriever breed and we pick and choose the dogs we breed to get a better blood line.

Well it takes money for their shots, the wormings vaccines, feed, vet bills, housing, ,, and the due claw removal, and so much more.

There is a big problem with labs that many people do not understand when they buy them.

Labs are puppies for about the first 2 years meaning they DIG they Chew they are destructive in their playful way.

So often they are brought home and the play begins and people sometimes revert to chaining them up in a forgotten back yard and sometimes beat them in some feeble attempt to make them not do the above things.

Here's where we come in.  We hunt these labs down and buy them. then we do what we can to retrain them. to heal them both physically and mentally. then we "Re-home" them .
